Furniture Design Rhythm Desk by Lu Yi Rhythm is a desk designed for work and design tasks. The structure is inspired by the wooden frames of ancient Chinese architecture, where timber beams carry the load of the building. Rhythm is built with traditional mortise and tenon joints, so no metal hardware is required. The desk is made of black walnut, shaped by computer numerical control machining and finished by hand grinding. The surface measures 1800 millimeters by 800 millimeters, and the height is 700 millimeters. The simple frame keeps the desk stable and allows users to work at the desktop or receive guests.
