Flowerblock Shelf

Furniture Design Flowerblock Shelf by Chinen Mizuki The design draws inspiration from the flower blocks commonly found in Okinawan architecture. Characterized by geometric openwork patterns, these blocks filter strong sunlight while allowing air to circulate, a balance of function and beauty echoed in the shelf's structure. Gaps between the boxes create a light, airy impression, enhancing the sense of openness within a space. By eliminating the back panel, the shelf functions not only as storage but also as a subtle spatial divider, offering flexibility for placement either against a wall or at the center of a room.
