Furniture Design TwiStool Veneer Stool by Jiekun Qian The TwiStool is a veneer stool drawing inspiration from its Scandinavian context and it has high utility with low production costs. Aesthetically, a variation of forms are presented when looked from different angles thanks to its dynamic twisting design. Functionally, The frame detail makes the stool ergonomically comfortable as well as being easily portable. The TwiStool uses vacuum press technique, forming 2D material to 3D object with natural textures and additional strength. It only needs one mold to produce all three legs, thus significantly reduces the costs.
