Furniture Design Guardian Study Desk by Chien-Ming Hsieh The rotating screen cum cover is designed to serve two purposes. In its vertical orientation, it gives the reader a private space and divides each desk from its neighbor. When the user needs to temporarily leave the seat, the screen cum cover can be rotated from the vertical orientation to horizontal orientation covering the entire desktop to secure personal belongs, that is the concept of a public locker. When the user returns to the seat, unlocking and turning the screen cum cover from the horizontal orientation to vertical to continue using the reading desk.
